KIDS MTB COACHING
Build confidence, improve bike control and develop strong riding skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Every session is tailored to the rider’s age, ability and personal goals. Whether they are completely new to mountain biking or already riding trails, pump tracks and jumps, the coaching will help them progress safely and enjoy more time on their bike.

Designed for riders aged 8–15, from complete beginners learning the fundamentals to confident young riders wanting to progress their trail, pump-track and jumping skills.
Sessions are suitable for riders who want to improve technique, overcome a lack of confidence or prepare for larger trails and bike parks.

ADULT MTB COACHING
Whether you are completely new to mountain biking or already riding regularly, every session is built around your ability, confidence and personal goals.
Improve your technique, gain more control and learn how to ride trails, corners, drops and jumps with greater confidence. Coaching is practical, supportive and tailored to help you make real progress.

ADVANCED & ELITE COACHING
Specialist coaching with former international professional rider Lance McDermott, designed for experienced riders ready to push their riding further.
Sessions focus on advanced jumping, freestyle progression, competition preparation and developing greater control, confidence and consistency. Every session is built around the rider’s current level, goals and riding style.

We offer three coaching options:
• Kids MTB Coaching (Ages 8–15)
• Adult MTB Coaching (16+)
• Advanced & Elite CoachingAll sessions are available as 1-to-1 coaching or small groups and are tailored to your current skill level and goals.

Not at all.
Whether you've never ridden a trail before or you're already hitting jumps and technical features, every session is adapted to suit you. We coach riders of all abilities in a relaxed, supportive environment.

We coach at a range of locations across Greater Manchester and the North West, including Farmer John's Bike Park, local trail centres, pump tracks and BMX tracks.
The location will depend on your coaching goals and experience level.

Bring your bike, helmet, suitable riding clothing and plenty of water.
For jump coaching or more advanced riding, we strongly recommend wearing a full-face helmet and knee protection. We'll let you know exactly what you need before your session.

Our standard coaching sessions last approximately one hour.
Longer sessions, group coaching or bespoke coaching packages can also be arranged—just contact us to discuss your requirements.

Mountain biking is an outdoor sport, so we often coach in typical British weather.
However, if conditions are unsafe due to extreme weather, we'll happily rearrange your session for another date.

PRIVATE MTB COACHING
Bike Minded currently offers private coaching only, giving every rider focused attention, personalised guidance and more time to work on the skills that matter most.
Choose a private 1:1 session or book with a small group of 2–3 riders. Every session is adapted to the riders attending, with no rigid lesson plan or one-size-fits-all programme.
Before the session, we’ll discuss your current riding level, what you want to improve and the type of riding you enjoy. Your coaching will then be built around those goals, helping you progress safely and confidently at your own pace.
Whether you want to improve bike control, ride trails with more confidence, develop your jumping or work towards advanced freestyle goals, Bike Minded will help you choose the right coaching option.
